Study of the effect of thinning during forming on the strength of elliptical dishes of titanium VT1-0

Results are given for testing the strength of formed elliptical dishes of titanium grade VT1-0 with thinning to 44% in the transition area. It is concluded from tests that thinning to 20% in the transition area does not affect the dish strength as a whole.
