Rapid Toluene Mineralization by Aquifer Microorganisms at Adak, Alaska: Implications for Intrinsic Bioremediation in Cold Environments

Microorganisms from a cold-temperature, shallow aquifer at Adak AK mineralize petroleum hydrocarbons at rates comparable to microorganisms from more temperate aquifer systems. The cold temperature mineralization is examined for its bioremediation implications.
