Strong and Super-Strong Ceramics Based on Aluminum Oxide and Partly Stabilized Zirconium Dioxide
Results of development of strong and superstrong ceramics based on alumina and partially stabilised zirconia using highly disperse powders and the method of hydrostatic and hot moulding and sintering in a gasostat are described. Ceramic materials based on alumina have strength of 300-750 MPa and mat...

Summary: | Results of development of strong and superstrong ceramics based on alumina and partially stabilised zirconia using highly disperse powders and the method of hydrostatic and hot moulding and sintering in a gasostat are described. Ceramic materials based on alumina have strength of 300-750 MPa and materials based on partially stabilised zirconia have strength of 800-2500 MPa. These materials can be widely used in various sectors of engineering due to their high strength, wear resistance, and hardness. 9 refs. |
