Summary: | A model of diamond drilling of holes in brittle solid nonmetallic materials is proposed, which is based on describing the microcutting process performed by a single grain and the energy processes occurring in drilling. Modeling of single-grain work is performed taking into account deformation of the binder. The modeling results are used in specialized software for calculating cutting conditions and developing other advanced technologies for producing diamond tools operating under the most stringent conditions.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
