Summary: | The effect of hardening under conditions of rapid electroarc heating on the structure and properties of complexly alloyed precipitation-hardening spring alloy 36NKhTYuM8 bearing a difficultly soluble excess Laves phase is considered. The influence of the hold after the rapid heating for hardening is described. An analysis of mechanical, process, and operating properties of the alloy is used to show that a hold after rapid heating worsens the efficiency of the rapid hardening of alloys of the studied type. |
