Summary:Historical aspect of the creation and development of the method of physicochemical phase analysis of aircraft alloys with various metallic matrices in the laboratory of metal physics of VIAM headed by Academician S. T. Kishkin is considered. The special role of the method in the investigation of phase transformations in steels and refractory nickel alloys used for GTE blades and disks is emphasized. Main achievements in the chemistry of nickel alloys made with the help of the method are presented and the applicability of the method for choosing alloying systems and studying causes of repudiation of ready products and early failure of articles is shown.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
