On the characteristic polynomials and eigenvalues of some specially bordered matrices

Using a determinant identity and Leverrier’s algorithm for m - D system, we obtain the explicit expressions of the characteristic polynomial and the eigenvalues of some specially structured bordered matrices M = A U V ∗ D .
