The generation of hydrogen peroxide in the processes of oxidation of aliphatic alcohols in the UV/H sub(2)O sub(2) system

The article has studied the impact of various physicochemical factors (the concentration of H sub(2)O sub(2): alcohol ratio, the presence of oxygen, of Fe(III) ions, etc.) on the consumption and buildup of H sub(2)O sub(2) in oxidation of aliphatic alcohols in aqueous solutions under the effect of U...

Description
Summary:The article has studied the impact of various physicochemical factors (the concentration of H sub(2)O sub(2): alcohol ratio, the presence of oxygen, of Fe(III) ions, etc.) on the consumption and buildup of H sub(2)O sub(2) in oxidation of aliphatic alcohols in aqueous solutions under the effect of UV light (200-360 nm). Based on the obtained data the kinetic model of generating H sub(2)O sub(2) has been proposed in the processes being considered.
