Description
Summary:[...]the condition has continued to be periodically investigated and diagnosed in layer flocks in Great Britain since at least the mid-1980s. Since spotty liver syndrome was reported in 2003, there have been continuing diagnoses in poultry submitted to the AHVLA ( Anon 2007 , 2009 ) and the SAC ( Anon 2006 ). Summary information about spotty liver syndrome in Great Britain is available at: http://vla.defra.gov.uk/science/sci_spotty_liver.htm As the aetiology of spotty liver syndrome has not been established and currently there is insufficient evidence to describe risk factors or specific control measures, the AHVLA would be interested to hear the experiences of veterinarians in the field.
