THE SORS EXPERIMENT IN THE CORONAS-I PROJECT: SOME RESULTS

A description of the scientific experiment 'SOlar Radio Spectrometer' (SORS) of the CORONAS-I project is given. The goal of the experiment is the investigation of the solar radio emission and plasma wave phenomena in the Earth's ionosphere in the wide frequency band 100 kHz-300 MHz. R...

Description
Summary:A description of the scientific experiment 'SOlar Radio Spectrometer' (SORS) of the CORONAS-I project is given. The goal of the experiment is the investigation of the solar radio emission and plasma wave phenomena in the Earth's ionosphere in the wide frequency band 100 kHz-300 MHz. Results of the SORS observations for a three-month working period are discussed, and proposals for improvement of the SORS equipment for future CORONAS missions are made.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
