Summary:"The British Council's Venice Takeaway asked architects to undertake study trips and bring back new models for British architectural practice." The works presented here are part of the British Pavilion and sought to find "imaginative responses to universal issues and explore the 'common ground' of architecture." Firms included the following, Aberrant Architecture; dRMM; Forum for an Alternative Belfast; Smout Allen; and Toh Shimazaki Architecture. Architects who either worked alone or in groups included among others, Ross Anderson & Anna Gibb; Darryl Chen; Andreas Lang, Torange Khonsari, Alex Warnock-Smith & Owen Pritchard; Elias Redstone; Geoff Manaugh; Mark Smout & Laura Allen; and Liam Ross & Tolulope Onabolu. Many of those listed here were interviewed for respective contributions to this piece. Vicky Richardson and Venessa Norwood curated show. On view from 29 August until 25 November 2012.
