Summary: | Whether it is called sustainable management, innovative climate and environmental policy or corporate social responsibility, there are many titles under which a company may be making its business greener. Corporate social responsibility is an area in which a company can differentiate itself. The areas in which sustainability can be applied are manifold. With new projects, the widest spectrum of possibilities exist. A likely vehicle for enhancing sustainability is the supply chain. The Kruidenier Groep is a wholesale dealer in food and non-food products for the hotel and catering and care industries in the Netherlands. As quality of products and delivery are prime interests, the organization is continually seeking improvements. Kruidenier Groep works with its partners in the supply chain on the enhancement of biodiversity and the reduction of its ecological footprint. The Kruidenier Groep now sees possibilities for working with its suppliers and partners to further define the new supply chain and come to a sustainable, economic and feasible solution. |
