Summary:Does my membership in ACA International have value? That's a question I've heard expressed many times over my years attending ACA events and talking with my colleagues in the collection industry I will confess that I even wondered it when I first entered the collection industry in 1985 and attended my first ACA convention a couple of years later. I've written it before in my columns and I've said it in speeches - there is great value in getting together with your colleagues at seminars, conferences and other gatherings. I give significant credit for the success of my business to things I've learned at ACA seminars and interactions with my friends and colleagues in the business. I'm grateful to have relationships with my colleagues to share ideas, which my membership in ACA and ACA of Texas have made possible. I'm also grateful for the ACA staff that spend every day advocating on my behalf and developing tools I can use.
