AltheaDx offers a genetic test and report, recently introduced to the market, that provides patients and healthcare providers a series of recommendations for the pharmaceutical treatment of pain, cardiovascular disease and psycho-neurological disorders. This relatively new but rapidly growing field of medicine, called pharmacogenomics, has the potential to significantly reduce drug costs and improve the quality of care, particularly as drug costs continue to outpace inflation and the population ages.
