The first relies on propaganda rather than scientific data to boost girls' self-esteem and academic performance, even though the evidence shows that boys do worse in both areas. The newly created Boy Talk seeks to rescue young males from their masculinity, even though now more than ever the nation needs self-reliant, independent young men.
