Summary:The Interactive Forest Atlas for Gabon is both an information management tool, as well as an aide to decision makers towards supporting sustainable use of forest resources. It contains for the first time in a publicly accessible, user-friendly format, up-to-date and harmonized information on the Gabonese forest sector. Future versions of the Atlas will build upon this pilot study--particularly regarding data on timber production, agricultural zones and logging roads derived from satellite imagery.
