Summary: | A majority of Canadians believe that their children will attend a post-secondary educational institution when they finish high school. Further education after high school education is increasingly seen as a vitally important part of a person's life, both for participation and success in the knowledge economy. Human Resources Development Canada has estimated that by 2004 more than 70% of new jobs created will require a college or university education, with nearly half of these new jobs requiring at minimum a Bachelor's degree. |
