As part of her graduate studies, she conducted an action research project called Boys and Literacy, focusing on one of the most memorable experiences that she had encountered in her second year of teaching. She faced a constant challenge in encouraging and teaching two of her fourth grade students to read. Both of the students were male: one was a reluctant reader without an individual education plan, and the other was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. |
