Description
Summary:In an interview, Gary R. Froid, president of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils and the National Association of Estate Planners (NAEP), discussed plans for the development of the designation of Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). Froid feels that councils offer a great opportunity for life underwriters to learn from other professions first-hand and then meet the practitioners. He hopes that there will be a minimum of 1,000 underwriters qualified for AEP by the end of 1994. The AEP applicant must meet a variety of requirements established by the NAEP. Under the grandfathering provisions, individuals with a minimum of 15 years experience can receive the designation without taking the examination.
