Description
Summary:IC synthesis enjoys tremendous success in the market because it shortens design time and product time to market. Today's PCB designs present numerous constraints, which must be followed in order to achieve stated design goals and objectives. In order to simplify design tasks, constraints could be placed into a central repository, or database, that the designers queries whenever any changes or proposed changes are made to a design. Before using PCB synthesis, designers should have a good understanding of design constraints and goal. If constraint checks are not set up properly, the user could unwittingly degrade design performance when making changes. In PCB synthesis, designs are created using automatic and interactive tools, such as substrate partitioning, component placement and design optimization and exploration. Because partitioning can introduce new design elements, constraint checks should be conducted for manufacturability, routability, and signal integrity.
