Summary: | Successful franchsing companies know the importance of being involved in the communities they serve. They support a variety of charities and social programs, ranging from nationwide ongoing programs to smaller, more closely focused efforts. When Hurricane Andrew devastated Dade County, Florida, franchisors were quick to respond. For example, Mail Boxes, Etc. mobilized its "Network Outreach," soliciting help from its more than 1,700 franchise owners across the US. Nearly all major franchise companies and even many smaller ones have adopted a system-wide helping program of some kind, and often, local franchises augment those programs with their own. Several companies describe their corporate community outreach programs. |
