Summary:This year's Stadium Managers Association get-together, the 32nd edition, is Feb 5-Feb 9 in Hollywood. The International Association of Assembly Managers, meanwhile, staged its fourth annual International Stadium Management Conference on Jan 12-Jan 14 in Tampa, FL. Sources say there have been discussions to create just one conference, but those insiders say nothing is likely to happen anytime soon. There are quite a few issues where they gain from combining information and pooling their strength. But joining the two winter conferences would be difficult. The one group of people who really cannot be thrilled with this setup are the allied members, the sponsors who put up money for lunches, tours and various events.
