Summary:Polls conducted by Times Mirror Magazines, Inc. over the past three years reveal that Americans are consistent in their beliefs that economic progress can be made in the face of environmental protection. However, when faced with a choice between the two goals, sixty percent said that ensuring the protection of our environment should take precedence over economic concerns. Additional findings on Americans' environmental attitudes are presented.
