Summary: | In a roundtable discussion, several bank executives discuss their opinions on the success of the Austin Blitz in February. Luke Motley III, President and CEO, Farmers State Bank, said that the Austin Blitz accomplished its mission. His reception by the legislators was really good and seemed sincere. He felt they understood his concerns and will do what they can to help. Jim Goudge, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Broadway National Bank, thought it was hard to tell how much success the bankers actually had because most of the legislators seemed pretty non-committal. Pat Gray, Executive VP, TIB - The Independent BankersBank, said that TBA did a great job of facilitation and coordination. The meetings were worthwhile, and their reception at the Capitol was well received. |
