Water mist systems are primarily classified by the method of generating the mist; whether the nozzles operate individually, in an array as part of an object protection system, or as part of a total compartment deluge system; and the range of operating pressures. Manufacturers appear to be specializing on an individual nozzle type, and all four types are being offered in the marketplace: 1. diffuser impingement nozzles, 2. pressure jet nozzles, 3. gas-atomizing nozzles, and 4. jet interaction nozzles. |
