Looking forward, most major markets for stainless steel look positive. Steady job growth, income gains, and a high level of consumer confidence should fuel the demand for new car sales. Major household appliance sales should be off somewhat in 1996 from the near-record rates of 1995, but even at lower levels, the activity will be fairly strong relative to historic rates.
