Summary:More and more companies today are realizing the value of educating their employees about the essence of the game of business and the performance measures of success for them. A variety of approaches exist but one of the most popular and effective in recent years has been the Balanced Scorecard, developed by Robert Kaplan and David Norton of Harvard Business School. This approach, in a very straightforward manner, helps company objectives to be understandable and more tangible. A recent survey indicated that more than 40% of Fortune 500 businesses use the Balanced Scorecard to increase company performance.
