Early moves involve PacifiCare of California, where CEO Jon Wampler, remains in charge of the HMO's Western region. Don Costa steps up to vice president/CFO for PacifiCare of California. For the past three years, he was vice president/controller and chief accounting officer for PacifiCare's California Western Region. Brendan Baker arrives as VP/finance for the California operations. He occupied the same position at FHP. Other PacifiCare of California promotions include: Dr. Sam Ho, VP/health services; Barbara Blanchard, VP/human relations; Bob Novelli, VP/customer service centers, Arnold Hebert, VP/sales and marketing, and Nancy Monk, VPegal, regulatory and government relations.
