Slowly but significantly, healthcare organizations are beginning to make headway. At Catholic Health Initiatives, promoting diversity is one of the ways they live out their core value of reverence. Diversity starts at the top with hospital boards and senior leadership. Healthcare in this country is the best in the world -- but not for every citizen. But with collective action from the entire healthcare community, the author believes people can promote diversity in both perception and outcomes. |
