The company has launched the Ameritech.net high-speed Internet service in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with plans to roll out the service in Royal Oak, Michigan in the next 2 months and in Chicago in 1998. Ameritech is targeting consumers and small businesses. The company also announced it is partnering with Microsoft to promote the ADSL technology. Ameritech and Microsoft are in discussions with hardware manufacturers to make personal computers and equipment ADSL-compatible. |
