Summary: | Landsteinar is a large reseller with offices in Denmark, Iceland, Jersey and the UK. They still call themselves the Navision people - but that company was bought by Microsoft Business Solutions last year in a deal worth E1.5bn. The acquisition was only completed after a challenge from UK business software company Sage, which expressed concerns that Microsoft would damage the European business software market by flooding it with cheap products. Unsurprisingly, Lansteinar has a different perspective. The company is delighted by the takeover. The acquisition removed concerns we had regarding the consolidation of the software market, said Ian Humphries, Landsteinar's managing director, speaking to his customers at the forum. We have reached the top of the food chain. |
