Summary: | Most larger communities offer a wide choice of school systems, so employees moving to new locations may face a difficult decision concerning which school to select. Relocating families must first determine exactly what their school system needs and wants are. Needs of the children are probably paramount, but the school also should be within reasonable commuting distance from the work locations of the parents. Other factors to consider when deciding on a school system include: 1. building size, 2. scholarship performance of pupils, 3. school system awards, 4. elementary school accreditation, 5. school system expenditures, 6. pupil/teacher ratio, and 7. the educational level of school system residents. |
