Summary: | Financial economics reached an important level of development in the second half of the 20th century. However, in the authors' opinion, this development process has slowed considerably in recent years. Although empirical papers have increased both in quantity and quality, the issue must be faced that theoretical creativity has decreased and statistical analysis is often abused.
