Summary: | At the recent Networld+Interop show, Microsoft Corp.'s Desktop and Business Systems Division just released its Viper transaction processing server into beta testing. Viper, which runs on Windows NT, can be used for electronic commerce or other applications requiring guaranteed transactions. Meanwhile, in conjunction with Microsoft, MCI Communications Corp. said it is gearing up to roll out the enterprisewide messaging it announced in May 1996. IBM Corp. also unveiled new services under its IBM Global Network portfolio of products. Novell Inc., as expected, introduced its IntranetWare. |
