Summary:A revised version of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code is working its way through the enactment process in state legislatures across the nation and, as of July 15, 25 states have already adopted it. In the meantime, the provisions of pre-revision Article 9 continue to be the subject of numerous court interpretations, and this Article's principal focus is the more significant of those cases that were decided during this year's Survey period. As part of that discussion, the Article also discusses, where noteworthy, the relevant provisions of the revised statute.
