Description
Summary:The Republican Presidential candidate for 1996 presents his views on public housing. Housing vouchers would enable poorer Americans to choose where they live. The Federal Housing Authority should be privatized, and homelessness assistance should be given to the Department of Health and Human Services, not the Department of Housing & Urban Development. Enforcement of the fair housing laws should be monitored by the Department of Justice. Fair housing laws will be enforced in the Dole Administration. There is no room for discrimination in this society, but there is also no room for a big brother Housing & Urban Development Department threatening and intimidating those doing nothing more than expressing their First Amendment rights.
