Summary: | Barcelona-based business guru Pedro Nueno gave an old idea a bit of an airing a few weeks ago. He he called for western governments to bring back some good old protectionism and tariffs. He is convinced there's more to business than slavishly pursuing the cheapest labour cost in the market. That's why he's calling for governments to act before it's too late. Perhaps a bigger, stronger internal European market will help. The Union welcomes ten new members this month and this May issue of Supply Chain Europe carries a special focus on Poland. |
