Summary:Norwegian legislation approves several structures for acquiring Norwegian limited liability companies. In this article various acquisition structures are discussed. Certain corporate and taxation principles are tackled and, in addition, accounting principles are briefly explained where these are relevant. This article is limited to acquisition of incorporated companies with limited liability and to certain models for acquisition of assets from limited liability companies. The article relates both to Norwegian public limited companies and Norwegian private limited companies, unless otherwise expressly stated.
