Summary:In one sense, Leah del Rosario-Dy can be said to have been one of those reluctant businesswomen when she was tasked to take over the management of the Getaway Spa. Since Ms. [Dy] regularly studies the performance of her spa, she has already anticipated a low turnover for February 2004. With this in mind, she has tried to aggressively market Getaway Spa by several promos and tying up with different establishments in the area. Her project proved successful and increased the earnings of the spa for that month. Ms. Dy said one of the advantages of being a young entrepreneur is the passion to always learn something new and the guts to always try new things. Admittedly, when she started managing the business two years ago, Ms. Dy said, she had a hard time understanding the requirements of the business like the permits and taxes.
