Summary: | The Canadian Library Association (CLA) has ceased publication of the bi - monthly journal, CM: A Reviewing Journal of Canadian Materials for Young People, with its November/December issue. The decision, made at a closed meeting of CLA's executive council last October, was based on a need to reset priorities at the CLA. "CM had been doing a respectable job of supporting its administrative overhead, especially with the recent efforts to sell advertising for it," says CLA executive director Karen Adams, "but our 1995 budget discussions called for a real focus on CLA's core concerns." About 25% of CM's 950 subscribers are CLA members. |
