Summary: | What with the tail of a global pandemic, shifting dynamics between employers and employees, economic uncertainty, and emerging artificial intelligence technologies, the U.S. workforce is in a state of disruption. APTA member data includes statistics on the applicant pool to PT and PTA programs, clinical specialization and board certification data, PT residency and fellowship information, and achievement in the PTA Advanced Proficiency Program. "When we looked at the distribution and demographics of those in APTA, they pretty closely mirrored the distribution of the profession as a whole nationwide," says Tara Jo Manal, PT, DPT, FAPTA, senior vice president of scientific affairs at APTA. In other words, this report gives analysts and others confidence that data derived from APTA member statistics reflect the entire profession for areas such as practice setting, age, and sex/gender. |
