Or, it could be someone so glad to encounter someone else like them in age, gender, race, country of origin, or some random conversation-starting common ground or bonding experience, such as discovering the same alma mater or favorite sports team or restaurant. Arranging a willing and capable mentor for an associate helps forge a welcome bond beyond that of co-workers, their supervisor or human resources associates often overwhelmed with filling open positions.
