Summary:IF we would form a detached judgment respecting the vast experiment which the United States Government has embarked upon during the past nine months we must keep steadily before us the aim in view. That aim was defined by President Roosevelt when first he decided to abandon the gold standard; it was reiterated in his broadcast speech of October 2nd. We can thus confirm that, ever since the inception of the experiment, the aim has not changed; it is, in fact, to raise the price-level in the United States.
