Summary: | Warthin tumor is the second most frequently seen benign tumor of the salivary glands and is generally located in the parotid gland. Although extraparotideal manifestations in the small salivary glands are rare, the occurrence of cystic lesions in the area of the nasopharynx, eyelid, oral cavity or vestibular folds should include the Warthin tumor in the differential diagnosis. The therapy of choice is complete surgical tumor resection. |
