Summary: | Disseminated Neisseria gonorrhea (N. Gonorrhoeae) infection can present with polyarticular involvement. Acute vertebral discitis/osteomyelitis due to this organism infection has been rarely reported. We present a case of vertebral discitis and osteomyelitis due to N. gonorrhea in an immunocompetent host, treated successfully with a prolonged antibiotic course. |
