Summary: | Homeopathy is one of the frequently used alternative healing methods in Germany. This article is intended to discuss and analyze why homeopathy should not be part of medicine and should rather be understood as a concept of belief that lies outside of scientific methods. The clinical, legal, and political dimensions of the homeopathy debate are explained. Finally, the question of the legitimacy of placebo applications is discussed in light of the demand for patient-centered medicine. |
