Biological Monitoring of Exposure to Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon in an Electrode Paste Plant

Several biomarkers for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) exposure were compared among electrode paste plant workers and workers not occupationally exposed to PAH. It was found that only urinary 1-hydroxypyrene was significantly increased in the PAH-exposed group.
