Summary: | Oral administration of carbaryl (200 mg/kg for 3 days a week) for a period of 90 days did not produce any overt toxicological signs in male rats. There were no significant histological changes in testes, epididymis, liver and kidney. Similarly, no marked biochemical changes were seen in testes, liver, and brain. The activity of acetylcholine esterase in blood of carbaryl treated rats was, however, found to be decreased. Carbaryl did not affect the fertility of male rats at 200 mg/kg up to 90 days. |
