Summary:Traumatic coronary artery dissection is a rare and challenging condition, requiring treatments for both thrombus and haemorrhage. We present a unique case of traumatic coronary artery dissection in which intra-aortic balloon pumping without heparin usage was useful in the acute traumatic phase of haemorrhagic shock with a contraindication to anti-thrombotic therapy.
