Summary:This study examined health care use in people with and without Huntington disease (HD) in the United States. Researchers found that people with HD used more health care services than people without HD. This included medical appointments, hospitalizations and emergency department visits, scans, and the use of drug treatments. The costs and amount of health care use were higher in people in the middle or late stage of HD than people in the early stage of HD.
